
SRINAGAR: The University of Kashmir has suspended all teaching and academic activities across its campuses up to and including March 7, 2026, and postponed all examinations scheduled for March 4, according to official notifications issued on Tuesday.
An order issued by the Registrar said the suspension of classes will apply to all campuses of the varsity. The decision has been conveyed for the information of all concerned, with students advised to remain updated through official university communications.
In a separate notification, the Office of the Controller of Examinations announced that all university examinations slated for Wednesday, March 4, stand postponed. Fresh dates for the postponed examinations will be notified separately.
The order regarding the examinations was issued by the Assistant Controller of Examinations Conduct and circulated to the concerned authorities for necessary action, including uploading the notification on the official university website and informing the media.
Further updates regarding the resumption of classes and the revised examination schedule are expected after March 7, the university said.
