DDC Anantnag inaugurates HPV Vaccination Campaign at SDH Achabal

Srinagar, Feb 28: In sync with the nationwide launch of HPV Vaccination Campaign, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat inaugurated HPV Vaccination Campaign at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Achabal.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that health remains a top priority sector and HPV Vaccine is crucial in curbing the Cervical Cancer. “There are over 11,000  eligible females aged 14-15 years who will be immunised at 14 Designated Centers across the district,” Dr. Bhat added.

The DDC further said that all necessary arrangements for safe roll out and smooth vaccination drive have been put in place. He also interacted with several beneficiaries and appealed to the general public to encourage their eligible children to get vaccinated at DVCs.

ADC, CMO, BMO Achabal and other concerned officers and officials of the health department were present during the inaugural ceremony.
