
Srinagar, Feb 19: The Jammu & Kashmir unit of the All India Professional Congress (AIPC) has congratulated the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team for scripting history by qualifying for their maiden final of the Ranji Trophy.
In an official statement, AIPC J&K State Head Sanjay Sapru and State Head Research Vertical Shadab Peerzada has described the achievement as a defining milestone in the sporting trajectory of the Union Territory, stating that the emphatic six-wicket victory over Bengal in Kalyani reflects preparation, resilience and competitive excellence AIPC leadership commended the cricket team for their historic victory.

Notably, Jammu and Kashmir scripted the greatest chapter in its cricketing history on Wednesday, qualifying for the Ranji Trophy final for the first time after defeating Bengal by six wickets on the fourth day of the semifinal at the Bengal Cricket Academy Ground, Kalyani. Chasing a modest target of 126 runs, J&K showed composure and determination to reach 126/4 in 34.4 overs, triggering scenes of celebration in the dressing room and marking a watershed moment for cricket in J&K.
