Mirwaiz greets people on auspicious beginning of Ramadhan

Srinagar, Feb 18: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has extended greetings to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the Muslim Ummah worldwide on the blessed arrival of the holy month of Ramadhan.

Mirwaiz expressed hope that the sacred month will inspire individuals and communities to renew their spiritual commitment, deepen their connection with the Almighty, and strive towards moral refinement and social responsibility, as per a press release.

He emphasised that Ramadhan is not only a time for fasting and prayer, but also a period for self-accountability, compassion towards the underprivileged, and strengthening bonds of brotherhood and unity within society. Mirwaiz prayed that Allah (SWT) grant peace, prosperity, and harmony to the people, accept their supplications, and bless the Ummah with guidance and steadfastness during this sacred month.
