SRINAGAR: CM Omar to Present Economic Survey and Marriage Rules in Jammu Kashmir Assembly Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is set to present the Economic Survey Report for 2025-26 and the Anand Marriage Registration Rules, 2023 in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Thursday, as part of the ongoing Budget Session.

The Economic Survey will give lawmakers an overview of the Union Territory’s fiscal performance and key economic indicators. The Anand Marriage Registration Rules, framed under Section 6(4) of the Anand Marriage Act, 1909, aim to strengthen the legal framework for marriage registration in JK.

The Assembly will also continue deliberations on the Motion of Thanks to the Lieutenant Governor’s address delivered on February 2, 2026, along with the government’s reply. The session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM at the Assembly Secretariat in Jammu, with questions to be asked and answered during the proceedings.
