BJP’s Chrungoo condemns MLA Shabir Kullay’s remarks on Kashmiri Pandits

Srinagar, Jan 30: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo has condemned the recent remarks of MLA Shopian Shabir Ahmad Kullay on Kashmiri Pandits, saying that they are “highly venomous and worth severe ridicule’.

“We have recently come across a number of statements from different Kashmir centric political representatives regarding the socio-political scenario pertaining to the exiled Kashmiri Pandits. The latest in this regard by the Shopian NC MLA, Shabir Ahmad Kullay is highly venomous and worth severe ridicule,” said Chrungoo, in a statement, issued today.

On the one hand, these political and religious figures day in and day out repeat their voices like ‘that Kashmir is incomplete without the Kashmiri Pandits’ and on the other hand they don’t skip any occasion to make violently blatant allegations against the displaced community, said Chrungoo.

“The statements of Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Umer Farooq-AAC and the latest of the Shopian MLA Kullay are enough a proof of the same ideology of Muslim majoritarianism. We severely condemn these statements and reject them lock, stock and barrel,” said Chrungoo.
