NC’s Imran Nabi shares grief with family of Kulgam fruit seller killed in Chandigarh Accident

Srinagar, Jan 29: National Conference State Spokesperson and In-Charge Constituency Kulgam Imran Nabi Dar Thursday visited the grief-stricken family of Gul Mohammad Malik, a 65-year-old fruit seller, who tragically lost his life after a concrete slab reportedly collapsed during construction work near the PGI area in Chandigarh.

The deceased was a resident of Bugam village in Kulgam district. Expressing deep anguish over the tragic incident, Imran conveyed his heartfelt condolences and stood shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved family in their hour of profound sorrow. He shared their pain and described the loss as irreparable, stating that no words could adequately console the family in the face of such a tragedy.

Accompanied by the party’s local unit functionaries, Imran offered fatiha for the departed soul and prayed for eternal peace. He also prayed for patience, strength, and courage for the grieving family to bear this immense loss, while assuring them of his continued support and solidarity.

On the occasion, Imran immediately reached out to the Chief Minister’s Office and sought urgent intervention to facilitate the airlifting of the mortal remains of the deceased to his native place in Kulgam for last rites. He further appealed for adequate compensation and financial assistance to the next of kin, emphasizing the severe economic hardship faced by the family following the untimely demise of their loved one.
