
Kupwara: In sync with the countrywide observance of National Voters’ Day, District Police Kupwara on Sunday marked the occasion by organising a pledge ceremony in which officers and personnel were administered the National Voters’ Day pledge.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Al Tahir Gilani, and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kupwara, Javed Ahmad, and other officials from the civil and police administration.
On the occasion, officers and personnel reiterated their commitment to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution, exercise their right to vote in a free, fair and responsible manner, and encourage citizens to actively participate in the democratic process.
The observance formed part of nationwide efforts to raise awareness about the importance of voting and to strengthen public faith in the electoral system, particularly among first-time voters and marginalized sections of society.
District Police Kupwara on the occasion reaffirmed its commitment to support initiatives aimed at promoting informed and inclusive electoral participation.
