SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday said the results of the annual regular Class 10 examinations will be declared shortly, marking the completion of the evaluation process for more than 94,000 students across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Education Minister Sakeena Itoo had earlier said that the government decided to declare the results of Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on the same day. She said the evaluation process had been completed in the first week of January, but the declaration was delayed due to the late appointment of the JKBOSE chairman.

Over 94,000 students appeared in the annual regular Class 10 examinations, which commenced on November 03, 2025, in the Kashmir division. The board had established 994 examination centres across the region to facilitate the conduct of the exams.

According to JKBOSE data, 68,804 candidates from ten districts of the Kashmir division and 25,224 students from eight districts of the winter zone areas of the Jammu division were enrolled for the examinations. In addition, at least 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh district had also registered for the Class 10 examinations.

JKBOSE had announced a 15 per cent relaxation in the syllabus for Classes 10, 11 and 12 in view of disruptions to the academic calendar. The board said the decision was taken following recommendations from the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir and the Directorate of School Education Jammu, as well as representations from other stakeholders.

In a notification, the Director Academics of JKBOSE said eligible students appearing in the annual regular 2025 examinations were required to attempt 85 percent of the syllabus, which would be treated as equivalent to 100 per cent marks. The relaxation applied to students in the Kashmir division, winter zone areas of the Jammu division and the Union Territory of Ladakh, citing delayed commencement of the academic session and interruptions caused by heatwaves, torrential rains, cloudbursts and floods.

The students can check the result on official JKBOSE website.
