Soldier Killed After Fall From Height in North Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A soldier died after slipping and falling from a height while proceeding for night patrolling duty in the Sheeri area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir.

Official sources said the deceased has been identified as Hira Lal, a resident of Haryana, who was posted at the Fathagard Sheeri Camp. They said the soldier accidentally slipped and fell from a height, after which he was found unconscious and immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla. However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

The body has been kept in the mortuary at GMC Baramulla for post-mortem examination and other medico-legal formalities. Further proceedings are underway. (KNC)
