The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 14 of 2025 for the recruitment of Constable (Armed/IRP and SDRF) posts in J&K Police, Home Department.

A total of 487 UT Cadre Constable posts have been advertised under direct recruitment. Eligible domicile candidates of Jammu & Kashmir can submit online applications from 01 February 2026 to 02 March 2026. Selection will be based on Written Examination followed by Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test.

Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Constable (Armed & SDRF) Posts

Requirement	Details
Domicile	Must be domicile of Jammu & Kashmir UT
Educational Qualification	Matriculation
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)	18 to 28 years for most categories

Upper age limit varies for specific categories as per rules including In-Service Police Personnel, SPOs, VHGs and Ex-Servicemen.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

The PST will be qualifying in nature.

Male	Height: 5’-6”, Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)
Female	Height: 5’-2”

Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)
