
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two persons, including an MBA student, and recovered a heroin-like substance during a routine check near the Central University on Tullamulla Road in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police said a team from Police Station Kheerbawani intercepted a Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK01U-3866 during naka checking. The action was taken on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal.
During the search, police recovered a heroin-like substance from their possession. The contraband was seized following due legal procedure.
The accused, including an MBA student, are both residents of Batwina, Ganderbal.
A case under FIR No. 41 of 2025 has been registered at Police Station Kheerbawani under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Investigation is in progress to trace the source and intended distribution of the substance.
