BMO Sogam Launches Pulse Polio Drive, Administers First Polio Drops in Lolab – Alfaaz – The Words

Lolab: Dr. Syed Javed Rasool, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sogam, on Sunday visited various Pulse Polio vaccination centres across the Lolab area and administered the first dose of polio vaccine to children, formally inaugurating the Pulse Polio Immunization Drive in the region.

During his inspection, Dr. Javed Rasool reviewed the functioning of vaccination booths, assessed logistical arrangements, and interacted with health officials, field staff, and parents to ensure smooth implementation of the campaign.

Emphasizing the critical importance of universal coverage, he urged parents to cooperate fully with health workers and ensure that every child under five years of age receives the polio drops, highlighting the collective responsibility to achieve a polio-free future.

Health authorities in the meantime said that comprehensive arrangements have been made to reach all eligible children, including those in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
