MHA Promotes Three Jammu Kashmir IPS Officers to IGP Rank | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved the promotion of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers posted in Jammu and Kashmir to the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP).

According to an official order, Tejinder Singh has been promoted to the IGP grade, while Abdul Jabbar and Udaybhaskar Billa have been granted proforma promotion. The promotions are to Level 14 of the Pay Matrix.

The order stated that the promotions will take effect from January 1, 2026, or from the date the officers assume charge of the higher post, whichever is later.
