Stone quarry worker dies after being hit by stone in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 15: A labourer died after being hit by a stone while working at a stone quarry in Panthachowk area of Srinagar on Monday, officials said.

An official saidsaid the labour sustained a severe head injury after being struck by a stone while loading material onto a tipper near DPS School Panthachowk.

He said he was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as Bhar Din Bali (40) son of Roshan Din Bali of Kari Ramban. —(KNO)
