SRINAGAR: A court in Srinagar has issued a proclamation notice against a doctor from south Kashmir’s Qazigund area in connection with the Delhi blast case that claimed nearly a dozen lives and injured many others on November 10 near the iconic Red Fort area.

According to the court order, the accused, Dr Muzaffar Ahmad Rather, has been directed to appear before the court on January 28, 2026, at 10:00 am to answer the complaint.

The order states that despite warrants, Dr Rather could not be traced, forcing the court to proceed under the relevant provisions of the BNSS.

The proclamation has been affixed at the residence of the accused in Qazigund’s Wanpora village. Investigating agencies believe that Dr Muzaffar is the key accused in the Delhi blast case and was a close associate of the suicide bomber Dr Umar Nabi. (KNO)
