SRINAGAR: Ladakh Subordinate Services Staff Selection Board (LSSSSB) today conducted its first-ever Matriculation Level Examination with 3,584 candidates appearing across 19 centres in Leh and Kargil, marking a major milestone in the Union Territory’s recruitment process. The examination, held for 99 posts advertised in July 2025, recorded strong participation and was completed smoothly and transparently.
LSSSSB deployed adequate supervisors and invigilators, supported by district administrations, to ensure orderly conduct at all centres. Chairman Dr Pawan Kotwal inspected the process at Ladakh Public School, while Secretary Dr Zahida Banoo and board staff visited multiple centres to review arrangements and monitor adherence to guidelines.
The Board thanked all stakeholders for their cooperation, emphasising that strict protocols were followed to uphold confidentiality and credibility. Question papers and materials were dispatched from the Strong Room under magistrate supervision and police escort and returned the same way after the exam.
A dedicated examination centre for Persons with Disabilities was also set up, ensuring an inclusive and accessible environment for all eligible candidates.
