Govt Orders Several Transfers in Power Development Department | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday ordered an administrative reshuffle in the Power Development Department (PDD), issuing widespread transfers and fresh postings of I/c Executive Engineers and I/c Assistant Engineers across multiple corporations and divisions.

According to an order, several I/c Assistant Executive Engineers (Electric), who were elevated as I/c Executive Engineers on 17 October 2025, have now been assigned new responsibilities with immediate effect.

As per the order, Riyaz Ahmad Kababi has been posted as Executive Engineer, ED-Kupwara, KPDCL, replacing Aijaz Muzaffar Ronga, who will await further posting. Miss Bilquise Draboo has been shifted to STD-II, KPDCL, while Munib-ur-Rehman has been posted to SLDC Bemina, JKPTCL, with additional charge of ED-Bijbehara.

Rajesh Sharma has been placed at the disposal of the MD, JKPDC, for further adjustment. Rohit Bhagotra has been posted to STD-I, JPDCL, Jammu, and Zahoor Ahmad Rather to ED-Sumbal, KPDCL. Qaiser Khalil Qadri has been assigned to STD-Bijbehara, KPDCL, against a vacancy.

Ghulam Nabi Mir has been posted to JKPCL Division-I, Srinagar, with additional charge of STD-I Srinagar, KPDCL. Malik Habib Ahmad has been moved to the Electric Inspection Division, Kashmir. Vinod Kumar joins IT and C Division, JPDCL, while Peer Abdul Hamid takes charge of ED-Kulgam.

Sardari Lal has been posted to ED-II Gandhi Nagar, JPDCL, and Latief Ahmad Parray to ED-III, KPDCL. Manjeet Singh has been placed in TLMD-II, Gladni, JKPTCL. Riyaz Ahmad Naik joins Central Store Division, JPDCL.

Vishal Chouhan has been posted to ED-Pulwama, KPDCL, with additional charge of STD-Pulwama. Meenakshi Sadhotra will serve in Projects Division (Circle-II) Doda, and Arun Gupta in Project Division (Circle-I) Jammu. Vaneet Gupta has been posted to ED-Udhampur with additional charge of STD-Udhampur, while Yasir Arafat Khan moves to ED-Reasi.

Rajeev Koul has been posted as Executive Engineer, TLMD-II Pampore, JKPTCL. Vaneet Gupta has also been assigned ED-I Parade, Jammu.

The reshuffle order was issued by Financial Commissioner (ACS) Shailendra Kumar, IAS.

In a separate order, the government placed a large number of newly promoted I/c Assistant Engineers at the disposal of various Managing Directors for subsequent postings.

Under JPDCL Jammu, 33 officers, including Showkat Imtiyaz, Vivek Kumar and Amit Sharma, have been placed for deployment. Under KPDCL Srinagar, officers such as Nadia Gul, Anisa Yattoo and Arshid Ahmad Najar are among 30 employees awaiting posting orders. Similarly, under JKPTCL and JKPDC, several officers have been listed for fresh assignments.

Two officers, Safdar Rashid and Aijaz Ahmad Raina, have been deputed to the Housing and Urban Development Department and PW (R and B), respectively.

The government has directed all Managing Directors to allocate duties and additional charges as required.
