KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Ganderbal

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) announced a scheduled power shutdown in several parts of Ganderbal district between November 3 and 8, 2025 for essential maintenance works.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, a power shutdown of the 33 KV Badampora–Wangipora and 33 KV Badampora–Army Hakbara lines will be observed on November 3 and 6. As a result, the Batwina, Wangipora, Nowgam, Hakbara, Hajin, and Madwan Army receiving stations will remain off, affecting power supply to Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbugh, Sumbal, Nesbal, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer, and adjoining areas from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Similarly, the 33 KV Lar–Tulmulla line will undergo maintenance on November 4 and 8, leading to the shutdown of the Lar and Tulmulla receiving stations. Consequently, electricity supply to Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Larsun, and adjoining areas will also remain affected between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM on these dates.

KPDCL has advised residents to make necessary arrangements and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused during the maintenance period.
