Srinagar–Bandipora–Gurez Road Nears National Highway Status

SRINAGAR: Bandipora is set to get National Highway status for the Srinagar–Bandipora–Gurez Road, marking a significant milestone in regional connectivity and infrastructure development.

This development follows the persistent efforts of MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat, who has been pursuing the proposal with the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The latest communication from Union Minister Nitin Gadkari confirms that the proposal is under active consideration by the Ministry.

MLA Bhat, while making the development public to dispel doubts surrounding the issue, expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for his positive response and active consideration of the long-pending demand.

He expressed confidence that the proposal will receive favourable approval soon and urged cooperation from the other two MLAs of the district to help make this long-cherished dream a reality. (KNO)
