19-year-old scooty rider dies in Ganderbal accident

Srinagar, Oct 26: A 19-year-old youth died after his scooty collided with a tree in the Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, officials said.

An official said that the youth lost control of his scooty and rammed into a tree in Sultanpora, sustaining severe head injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sami (19), son of Akbar Ali, a resident of Kangan, Ganderbal.

Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNO)
