3 veteran athletes from J&K to represent India at Asia Masters Athletics Championship

Srinagar, Nov 4: Three veteran athletes from Jammu and Kashmir, Feroz Ahmad Khan of Burn Hall School, Gulzar Khan of the Housing and Urban Development Department, and Tahir Mir, coach of the J&K Police Central Team, have been selected to represent India in the prestigious 23rd Asia Masters Athletics Championship 2025, scheduled to be held from November 5 to 9.

As per a statement, the championship, which brings together top veteran athletes from across Asia, will serve as a major platform for the trio to showcase their talent and dedication on the international stage.

Officials and members of the sporting fraternity in J&K congratulated the athletes for their selection, describing it as a proud moment for J&K.

“Representing India on such a global platform is not only a personal achievement but also a moment of pride and inspiration for every young athlete of Jammu & Kashmir.
