2 Poonch players selected for 44th senior national shooting ball championship

Poonch, Jan 7: District Poonch’s two shooting ball players, Mehrose Ahmed and Waqar Younis, have been selected to represent the district in the 44th Senior National Shooting Ball Championship, scheduled to be held from January 9 to 11, 2026, in Sholapur, Maharashtra.

As per a statement issued on Wednesday, their coach Abhay Raina was appreciated for his tireless efforts in training these exceptional athletes. His guidance has played a significant role in their success
