Woman Among Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in North Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have arrested two drug peddlers including a woman in separate operations, seizing heroin and charas-like substances.

In Old Town Baramulla, acting on a tip-off, police raided the residence of a woman in Punchetra Janbazpora, recovering 215 grams of charas-like substance concealed in maize husks. She was taken into custody under FIR No. 144/2025.

In another crackdown, Police in Kunzer area intercepted a vehicle at Chichilora, recovering 7 grams of heroin-like substance from driver Habil Yaseen Dar. The car was seized and FIR No. 80/2025 registered.

Police vow to intensify the anti-drug drive and urge public cooperation.
