
Srinagar: The annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Usman (Rahmatullah Alaih), along with other revered Sadat-e-Kiram, was observed on Friday with devotion and reverence at the shrine located in Nehru Park here.
The day-long religious observance featured recitation of Khatmaat Mozamaat, Mawlood Shareef and Awrad-e-Fatah, led by Maulana Showkat Hussain Keng and Mohammad Ashraf Inayati, who were present on the occasion. A large number of devotees participated in the spiritual proceedings, offering prayers and seeking blessings.
Special arrangements were made to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Urs by Atif Hameed and Mubashir Yousuf, the Khadims of the Ziyarat.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Showkat Hussain Keng highlighted the teachings of Awliya Allah, stressing the values of peace, unity, love and devotion to Almighty Allah. He urged people, particularly the youth, to follow the path of righteousness, humility and service to humanity as exemplified by the saints.
The Urs concluded with collective prayers for peace, harmony and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and across the country.
