Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Vacancies


Post Name Educational Qualification Age Limit
Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications Degree in Law from a recognized university 30 years for UR/EWS, 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC/ST, 40 years for PwBD
Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) Ph.D in Humanities, Science, Commerce, Engineering/Technology or professional courses like Law, Management, Finance or Accounts 43 years for OBC, 45 years for SC

For Examiner posts, candidates must have two years of experience in handling court cases, legal matters, or trade marks and geographical indications.
For Deputy Director posts, five years of post qualification experience in teaching, research, examination reforms, curriculum development, or online examination administration is required.

Pay Scale


The pay scale for Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications is Level 07 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
The pay scale for Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) is Level 11 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.

Other Job Details


The Examiner post is a General Central Service Group B Gazetted, Non-Ministerial position with a probation period of two years.
The Deputy Director post is a General Central Service Group A Gazetted, Non-Ministerial position with a probation period of one year.
