UPSC Invites Applications For Training Officer Posts In Ministry Of Skill Development

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a fresh notification inviting online applications for the post of Training Officer (Welder) under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. There are a total of 9 vacancies for this Group-B, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post.

As per the notification, the position offers a pay scale of Level-7 (Rs. 44900–142400) under the 7th CPC. The age limit for general category candidates is 30 years. Relaxations apply as per government rules. This revised advertisement allows candidates with both industry and teaching experience in welding or fabrication to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have either a Bachelor’s degree in Vocational/Mechanical/Production Engineering, or a three-year diploma in Mechanical/Production/Advanced Vocational Diploma, or an NTC/NAC in the Welder trade from recognized institutions.

Experience: Degree holders must have two years of experience, diploma holders five years, and NTC/NAC holders seven years of experience in the welding or fabrication field. Both industry and teaching experience are accepted. Additional weightage is given to candidates with Craft Instructor qualifications.

Age Limit: The maximum age is 30 years for general candidates and 35 years for SC candidates. Age relaxation applies to government employees and other categories as per norms.
