UPSC CSE 2026 Notification Released For 933 Civil Services Examination Vacancies

Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the Civil Services Examination 2026. The examination will be conducted for recruitment to various Group A and Group B services including IAS, IPS, IFS, and other central services.

There are approximately 933 vacancies to be filled through this examination. Graduate candidates who meet the eligibility conditions can apply online. The online application process starts on 04 February 2026 and the last date to apply is 24 February 2026.

The selection process for UPSC Civil Services Examination 2026 includes the following stages:

1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination
2. Civil Services Main Examination
3. Interview / Personality Test
4. Document Verification

Examination Pattern

Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type papers.

Paper II is qualifying in nature with a minimum of 33 percent marks.

The Main Examination consists of 9 papers, out of which 7 are counted for merit. Total written marks are 1750.

Interview carries 275 marks, making the total merit marks 2025.
