University Of Jammu Invites Applications For Electrician Post On Contract Basis, Apply Now

University of Jammu has issued an official advertisement for the engagement of a retired Electrician on a purely contractual basis. The post will be filled on a project-need basis under the University Works Department for handling ongoing and upcoming electrical works.

As per the notification dated 15 July 2025, the engagement will be for a period of six months initially, which may be extended depending on project requirements. The candidate must be below 65 years of age and should have significant experience in maintenance and execution of electrical works in multi-storey buildings within a government or autonomous body. The consolidated monthly salary offered is Rs. 15,000.

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their application form along with required documents to the Executive Engineer, University Works Department, University of Jammu by 24 July 2025. The application must be sent via speed post or registered post only. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed on 30 July 2025.

Scrutiny of documents will be carried out from 25 to 28 July 2025. The interview will be held on 30 July 2025 at 2:00 PM in the University Works Department, University of Jammu.
