United Elegant FC Clinch Kashmir Super League Title

SRINAGAR: United Elegant FC emerged victorious over Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC in the grand finale of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2025. The electrifying clash, held before a record-breaking crowd, ended in a 1-1 stalemate at full time, leading to a tense penalty shootout that saw United Elegant FC crowned champions.

The match, hosted under the aegis of Khyber Cement and supported by Athwas Hyundai and the JK Sports Council, showcased high-octane football, with both sides delivering a nail-biting performance that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle. The intensity of the contest was matched only by the passion of the spectators, with attendance figures surpassing even those recorded during I-League fixtures in the region.

Following the thrilling conclusion, a felicitation ceremony was held in the presence of dignitaries including Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council Nuzhat Gul, Principal Secretary Youth Services and Sports Sarmad Hafeez, NC leader Nasir Aslam Wani, and Khyber Cement’s Wasim Khan. The officials lauded both teams for their performance and praised the league’s growing contribution to the sporting landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.

Individual honours were also presented during the ceremony. Moosa Qureshi of Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC received the Khyber Cement Game Changer Award, while United Elegant FC’s Aakif Reshi was named Player of the Match. The Athwas Golden Moment Award went to Adnan Ayoub of Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC, while the Events Emporio X Factor Excellence Award and the Kings Performer Award were conferred upon Yasir (United Elegant FC) and Salman Lateef (Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC) respectively.
