Two Residential Houses Gutted in Fire at Chowkibal, Kupwara – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: Two residential houses were gutted in a fire incident at Manchetar area of Chowkibal in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday evening.

Officials said the houses belonged to Abdul Gani Mir and Mohammad Akbar Ganie. The blaze reduced the structures and household goods to ashes before fire and emergency services could bring the situation under control.

Officials added that J&K Police, Indian Army, and local residents made joint efforts to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby houses.

No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and an assessment of the losses was underway.
