Two LeT associates apprehended along with arms, ammunition in Bandipora: Police

Srinagar, Aug 17: Two LeT associates were apprehended by security forces at Malpora Nowgam area of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora on Sunday.

A senior police officer told GNS that a joint naka was established by police and army, during searches two LeT associates were arrested along with arms and ammunition.

From their possession, 2 Chinese grenades, 2 UBGL Grenades and 10 rounds of AKs were recovered. They have been identified as Abdul Majid Gojri, resident of SK Bala; and Abdul Hamid Dar, resident of Vijpara.

Meanwhile, police have registered a relevant case under UAPA in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
