
Srinagar, Mar 2: The 44th death anniversary of renowned Kashmiri poet Ghulam Nabi Shah Zahoor was observed in his ancestral village Tumlahal, Pulwama. A ceremony of Durood, Azhkar, and Fateha Khawani was held at Bait-ul-Zahoor Tumlahal, Pulwama, and at his grave.
Shah Zahoor, a Sufi poet, wrote in Kashmiri, Urdu, Persian, Arabic, and Punjabi languages. His poetry and teachings remain popular, and he’s remembered as a great Sufi poet.
The Mehfil Bahar Adab Shahora Pulwama, founded by Shah Zahoor, has demanded the construction of an auditorium in Tumlahal in his memory.
