
Rajouri, Jan 13: Mughal Road witnessed a normal movement of vehicles for the second consecutive day on Tuesday as the road remained open for all kinds of traffic.
However, the movement of vehicles from the cutoff points from both sides was stopped at 2:30 pm as per the notification issued by Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police.
Officials said that at 10 am on Tuesday, the vehicles were allowed to move towards the Mughal Road from both the cut-off points – Chandimarh in Poonch and Hirpora in Shopian.
Hundreds of vehicles plied over the road smoothly, they said. Officials said that the movement of vehicles towards the road from the cutoff ends was closed at 2:30 pm, after which barricades were raised.
Traffic Police has appealed to people to plan only daytime journeys on the Mughal Road, keeping in view the risk of slippery conditions due to frost during night hours.
