
SRINAGAR: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Sunday issued an advisory in view of a mega ‘Padh Yatra’ being organised in Bandipora town on May 25 under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
According to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir’s office, vehicular movement from Aloosa Bridge Bandipora to Nasoo Bus Stand Crossing will remain suspended from 4:00 am to 3:00 pm on the day of the event.
The advisory stated that traffic coming from Gurez towards Srinagar, Sopore and Baramulla will be diverted via Sonarwani Bridge, Wangam, Koil Muqam and Sopore towards Baramulla and Srinagar, and vice versa.
It further noted that movement on the Ganderbal–Bandipora road via Pandach, T-Chowk, Barsoo, Ajas and Bandipora is likely to remain affected during the programme.
Motorists have been advised to avoid non-essential travel on the affected routes during the specified hours and to adhere to diversion plans and instructions issued by the traffic authorities.
The advisory has been issued in public interest for compliance by commuters and the general public.
