Teenager, Woman Among Four Injured in Road Accident

SRINAGAR: Four persons were injured in a road traffic accident near Jamkash in Hyderpora area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday evening.

Officials said all the injured were shifted to JVC Hospital Bemina for treatment. The injured have been identified as a 17-year-old from Housing Colony Bemina, who sustained a head injury and is in critical condition, while a 45-year-old lady from Hyderpora sustained abdominal injuries and is also critical.

They further identified the other two injured persons as an 18-year-old from Bemina, who sustained facial and left-hand injuries and is stated to be stable, and another youth, a 17-year-old also from Bemina, who suffered multiple injuries and is also stable.

One among the injured, a 17-year-old youth, was riding a scooty when he was hit by an unknown vehicle near Jamkash Hyderpora, leading to the accident.

Cognisance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
