SRINAGAR: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq, on Monday released Rs 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to support ongoing infrastructure and equipment upgrades at JLNM Hospital, Rainawari.
The funds were sanctioned during a Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) meeting chaired by the legislator during his visit to the hospital. The allocation is intended to meet urgent needs, including the construction of an auditorium and procurement of essential medical equipment.
Sadiq reviewed the implementation of the RKS scheme and assessed the progress of various hospital development projects. Stressing the importance of comprehensive and compassionate patient care, he inspected several departments and assured continued support in strengthening medical services and hospital infrastructure.
While commending the dedication of the medical and paramedical staff, he also issued a stern warning against any dereliction of duty. He directed the Medical Superintendent to recall paramedics currently posted outside JLNM Hospital in order to maintain optimal staffing levels.
The legislator also reviewed the progress of the new hospital building, noting that the Chief Minister is personally keen on its early completion. He urged the concerned departments to expedite pending works without further delay.
The meeting was attended by Medical Superintendent Dr Tariq, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Asifa Jan, and other senior officials.
