SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education declared the Class 10 results on Wednesday, with 19 students achieving full marks of 500 out of 500. Among the toppers is Rida Lone, a student of Presentation Convent from Handwara, who shared her excitement and experience.

“This journey is very important in a student’s life. It helps you build confidence and shapes your career,” Rida said. “This achievement is a milestone for me, and my family and I are overjoyed.” She credited her teachers for their continuous support, which helped her realise her potential. “They have always guided me and encouraged me to aim high, and I am very grateful for that.”

Rida admitted that the short academic session had initially added to her stress. “The session was short, and I faced many obstacles at first, but the 15 per cent relaxation and the option to choose which questions to attempt gave me some relief,” she said. She had not expected to achieve a perfect score, making the result even more special.

She also acknowledged the support of her parents. “Whenever I felt demotivated or stressed, my parents reminded me that my competition is with my old self, not with anyone else. They sacrificed a lot for me, and sharing this happiness with them feels amazing,” she said.

Rida maintained a balanced study routine, focusing on consistency rather than long hours, though she put in extra effort during examinations. “If you study two to three hours every day and revise what you learn at tuition throughout the year, you can achieve great results,” she advised.

She congratulated her fellow students and encouraged those who were disappointed with their results. “Don’t be disheartened if your marks aren’t what you hoped for. Continue working hard, there’s always more ahead. Class 11 and 12 lay the foundation for your future, and you can excel with dedication.”

Rida also motivated students who could not pass this year. “There is no need to feel sad. Work hard, and you will definitely succeed,” she said. Looking ahead, Rida plans to pursue medical studies, aligning with her childhood interests and long-term goals.
