The SSC JE posts are Group B (Non-Gazetted) and will be placed under Pay Level-6 with a salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. For SSC JE 2025, both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will now be conducted as computer-based tests. The selection process includes Paper 1, Paper 2, and document verification.

Eligibility Criteria:

The required qualifications vary by department. For most posts, a Diploma or Degree in the relevant engineering discipline is required. For some departments such as BRO and MES, two years of relevant work experience in planning, execution, or maintenance is also necessary. Application fee:

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be done through Paper 1, Paper 2, and Document Verification. Both exams are Computer Based Tests (CBT). Paper 1 includes General Intelligence, General Awareness, and General Engineering sections for 200 marks. Paper 2 includes only General Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) for 300 marks. Negative marking applies in both papers.
