Srinagar, June 25: In an unprecedented weather event, Srinagar has recorded its highest-ever minimum temperature fin the month of June. The city logged a minimum temperature of 25.0°C, a figure never seen before in recorded history for this time of year, according to Kashmir Weather.
To put it into perspective, such temperatures are typically observed as daytime highs in late May, making this early morning heatwave all the more striking. The current average daytime temperature in Srinagar now stands at 29.2°C.
With the city waking up to temperatures once reserved for the peak of summer, residents are facing scorching conditions from the very start of the day.
