SRINAGAR: Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir recorded high temperatures on Saturday, with Srinagar city registering a maximum of 34.5 degrees Celsius, according to the data compiled by Kashmir Weather Watch.
In south Kashmir, Qazigund recorded 32.6°C, while Kukernag recorded 31.2°C. Pahalgam, a well-known tourist destination, saw a maximum of 29.2°C. In north Kashmir, Kupwara recorded 33.2°C and the ski resort of Gulmarg remained comparatively cooler at 24.0°C.
In the Jammu division, Jammu city recorded 33.5°C. Other areas included Banihal at 30.1°C, Batote at 27.7°C, Bhaderwah at 31.7°C, and Katra at 30.2°C.
In the Union Territory of Ladakh, Leh recorded a maximum temperature of 29.0°C, while Kargil stood at 31.5°C.
