Special Lok Adalat Settles 175 Cases in Kupwara – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara on Saturday organized a Special Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex and its subordinate courts, aimed at providing speedy and amicable resolution of disputes.

The Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of Manjeet Singh Manhas, Principal District & Sessions Judge and Chairman DLSA Kupwara. The proceedings focused on cases related to the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), matrimonial disputes, civil matters, and traffic challans.

For the purpose, nine benches were constituted across the district. Out of 275 cases taken up, 175 were successfully settled, resulting in the award of a settlement amount of ₹37,01,950.
