
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Shopian district of south Kashmir have attached a residential property valued at Rs 16.20 lakh in connection with a narcotics case, officials said on Sunday.
The single-storey house, located under Khasra No. 1070/360 in Takiya Reban Zainapora, belongs to Khurshid Ahmad Itoo. Police said the property was identified as having been acquired through proceeds from the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics.
The action was carried out in connection with FIR No. 117/2025 registered at Police Station Zainapora. The attachment process was executed in the presence of a police team, an Executive Magistrate, and local representatives, including the Lambardar and Chowkidar, ensuring adherence to all legal procedures.
Police reiterated their commitment to curbing narcotics-related crimes and urged the public to share information regarding drug trafficking and related activities.
