Son of Soil Aijaz Asad Features Among Top 5 Officers at National Training Programme – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Bringing laurels to Jammu & Kashmir, IAS officer Mohammad Aijaz Asad, often hailed as a son of the soil from Rajouri–Poonch, has secured a place among the Best Five Officers in the overall assessment of the 23rd Mid-Career Training Programme (Phase-III) at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.

The Mid-Career Training Programme is considered a pivotal stage in the career of IAS officers, designed to prepare them for leadership roles in governance, public policy, law and order, and technology-driven administration.

Aijaz’s performance was reportedly rated outstanding, showcasing his administrative acumen, innovative governance practices, and dedication to public service.

Hailing from the border region of Rajouri–Poonch, Aijaz has held several challenging assignments, serving as District Magistrate in six districts, including Srinagar. He currently serves as Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, J&K Government.
