Social Worker Jasib Shabir Honoured in Pulwama on Republic Day Eve – Alfaaz – The Words

Pulwama: Jasib Shabir, social worker, student, and human rights activist, was honoured on the occasion of Republic Day at the District Police Lines Pulwama for his contributions to social welfare and youth-centric initiatives here on Monday.

The award was presented by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Basharat Qayoom, IAS in presence of Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama Tanushree, IPS; DDC Member Syed Abdul Bari Andrabi; and MLA Rajpora Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir.

The recognition highlights the work of Shabir and his organisation, Save Youth Save Future, in supporting families of terror victims, combating drug abuse, promoting women empowerment, encouraging sports, engaging youth, and contributing to overall social development.

Jasib expressed gratitude to his mentor and elder brother Wajahat Farooq Bhat, and his sister Anika Nazir, for their guidance and support. He dedicated the award to the entire team of Save Youth Save Future, emphasising that the honour reflects the collective efforts of the organisation and the community they serve.
