SKUAST Jammu Assistant Professor English Post, Monthly Salary 45,000

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has issued an advertisement notice for the engagement of one contractual Assistant Professor in English. The position is based at the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-J, Chatha, Jammu.

As per the notification, this post is purely on academic arrangement basis for the academic session 2025-26. The engagement is initially for one semester and may be extended for another semester if required. The selection will follow SKUAST-J’s guidelines issued via Notifications No. 09 (Secy.) of 2017 and No. 06 (Secy.) of 2021.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for the Assistant Professor post must have a postgraduate degree in English with at least 55% marks (high second class). Preference will be given to those having Ph.D. or NET/SET in the concerned subject. The candidate should also meet eligibility criteria as per SKUAST-J guidelines. If a candidate falls under age bar, Government Recruitment rules shall apply.

The selection will be based on academic qualifications, documents in support of API score, experience certificates, and other eligibility criteria as per SKUAST-J guidelines. Incomplete applications will be rejected without any notice.
