SKIMS Medical College Srinagar Notification 2025 For Faculty Posts

SKIMS Medical College Srinagar has issued Advertisement Notification No. 03-SKIMS-MC of 2025 for contractual engagement of faculty positions under Scheme B of the Manpower Development Scheme of the National Mental Health Programme. The recruitment is on a purely temporary basis, initially for one year, extendable yearly based on project continuation and candidate performance.

The posts are available in the Department of Psychiatry and include Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology, and Associate in Psychiatric Social Work. All candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must fulfill the required qualifications and teaching experience.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
For Psychiatry Faculty posts: MD/DNB in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
For Clinical Psychology: M.Phil with Ph.D or Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.
For Psychiatric Social Work: M.Phil with Ph.D or Ph.D in Psychiatric Social Work.

Teaching Experience:
Professor: 3 years as Associate Professor.
Associate Professor: 3–4 years as Assistant Professor depending on resident experience.
Assistant Professor: 1 year after PG as Senior Resident/Tutor.
Clinical Psychology: 2 years teaching experience as Lecturer.
Psychiatric Social Work: 5 years teaching experience as Lecturer or Assistant Professor.

Research Publications:
Professor and Associate Professor (Psychiatry): 4 indexed publications (2 during tenure).
Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology): 2 indexed publications.
Associate (Psychiatric Social Work): 3 indexed publications.

Age Limit:
Maximum age for all posts is 67 years as on the date of advertisement.

Selection Process:
