Shopian Police Observe Two-Minute Silence to Honour Martyrs – Alfaaz – The Words

Shopian: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Shopian on Friday observed a two-minute silence across the district to pay homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom, sovereignty and integrity of the nation.

The main commemorative function was held at the District Police Lines (DPL) Shopian, where officers and officials of DPO/DPL Shopian participated in the solemn observance. The tribute served as a reaffirmation of the police force’s commitment to uphold the values, dignity and ideals for which the martyrs made the supreme sacrifice.

As a mark of respect, similar observances were held at all police stations and police posts across the district, where jurisdictional officers led personnel in observing the two-minute silence in remembrance of the fallen heroes.

The observance reflected the collective resolve of the force to honour the sacrifices of the martyrs and continue to serve the nation with dedication and integrity.
