Handwara: Following the recent bomb blast in New Delhi, security measures across the Kashmir Valley have been significantly tightened, with a special focus on sensitive areas in Handwara.

Localities including Qalamabad, Kralgund, and Vilgam have witnessed intensified patrolling and surveillance by the Jammu & Kashmir Police.

Multiple check-posts have been established along key routes and near critical installations. At these points, thorough frisking and verification of vehicles and pedestrians are being carried out.

Police officials emphasized that these proactive measures are part of a broader strategy to safeguard public safety, maintain law and order, and thwart any potential terrorist threats in the region.

Authorities have urged residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activity immediately.
