Rupesh Kumar Assigned Additional Charge as Director Information

SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has assigned Rupesh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:2019), Vice Chairman of the Jammu Development Authority (JDA), the additional charge of Director Information, Jammu and Kashmir.

The decision, formalised through Government Order No. 1128-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated August 21, 2025, was taken “in the interest of administration.”

Rupesh Kumar will hold the position until Nitish Rajora, IAS (AGMUT:2021), resumes his official duties.

The order was issued under the authority of the Lieutenant Governor and signed by M Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.

The directive has been circulated to all relevant administrative and departmental heads, including financial commissioners, deputy commissioners, principal secretaries, and heads of public bodies across Jammu and Kashmir and New Delhi.
